Sea of Pain

I keep drifting in a sea of pain,

Efforts to steer ashore are all in vain

Yelling out in despair very very dark,

I keep bobbing up and down like a petty cork

A huge wave lifts me, I fly up in the air,

Briefly thinking that it’s the end of all despair

The higher the rise, the deeper the fall,

The pain that comes back is like hitting a stone wall

Painkillers are the lifebuoys that help keep me afloat,

As I keep looking for my final rescue boat

Some days I feel I am drifting towards the Shore,

I consciously try and paddle a little more

The next day I find the shore nowhere in sight,

My pain free future looks less and less bright

In all this journey, always walking a tight rope,

One thing I would never give up is hope

Like all good things need to come to an end,

The bad things in life should also self amend

With such hopeful thoughts coursing though my mind,

Thinking that soon I ll leave all this pain behind

None of your paths seems to be the same..

 

Starting with one end in a spindle in the womb..

To zigzag all along till your your other end is in the tomb..

 

Thousands of other threads you intertwine with all along..

Some are for right intentions and most are for the wrong..

 

Although all the knots make the journey seem rough..

Without these knots the journey would be lonely and tough..

 

Some knots are celebrated publicly and the happy bells are rung..

Some knots are deemed shady and the knots go unsung..

 

The more and more time the thread travels..

Less and less chance that its secret unravels..

 

The knots are covered and hidden to depths so great..

That no new thread can unearth them except by fate..

 

The more other threads you touch, the better you are..

It does not matter how long you have travelled so far..

 

Now I understand, you are the thread that causes so much strife..

You are afterall the thread of LIFE!!
